The Arizona Legislative Information System, affectionately known as ALIS, allows you to legally testify at a legislative committee, from the comfort of your own home or office, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Once you are registered with the ALIS Request to Speak, you will be able to identify your position (for, against or neutral) and post comments that become a part of the public record. This is the miracle of the system. Many times hearings are postponed or changed at the last possible minute. There are few things more frustrating than to arrange a work absence or childcare in order to go all the way down to the capital to testify only to find out that the hearing was changed while you were driving there. This system allows you to follow a bill and post your comments in a manner that cannot be ignored because it is in the public record.
Initial registration must be done at the Capitol from an ALIS kiosk
If you are unable to travel to the Capitol and register yourself, do not worry! – let SOSAz register for you! Connect to SOSAz and we will do the work. You will be notified when you are registered.
Please note that once registered, you will be able to change your password on the ALIS website so only you will have access your account.
